May Product updates: Smarter admin workflows, safer sharing & faster search
This update brings improvements across Screening Room, Mediabank, Program Catalog and Media Center Pages, focused on saving admin time, improving content accuracy, strengthening compliance, and making shared content easier to manage across organizations.
Auto-save in Screening Room
Admins working with unpublished assets in Screening Room now get the same auto-save functionality already available in Media Center posts.
This means draft work is saved automatically while editing, helping prevent lost progress if the browser closes, the session is interrupted, or someone accidentally navigates away.

Persistent direct download links from Mediabank
Admins can now copy persistent download links directly from Mediabank assets.
These links are designed to keep working over time, even when the underlying storage URLs change as part of Clipsource’s regular security processes. They can be used in emails, text editors, Media Center posts, pages, or other communication channels.
Where to find it:
Mediabank → Select an asset → Settings (three dots on right of asset) → Copy download link

Automatic title formatting from Program Catalog to Screening Room
When pulling a video from Program Catalog into Screening Room, the system now automatically creates a clean, structured title using the Program Catalog placement.
The title format is:
[Episode Title] – S[Season Number] E[Episode Number]
This reduces manual renaming and helps keep naming conventions consistent across modules.
Where to find it:
Screening Room → [+] on the top right Add/pull video from Program Catalog

Automated metadata sidecar for image downloads
When users download all images from a Media Center post or Page Builder component, key image metadata is now automatically included as a text file inside the ZIP archive.
The metadata file can include information such as title, photographer, copyright, caption, and customer-specific credit instructions.
This helps ensure accurate photo crediting and copyright compliance without adding extra steps for the user.
Note: The generic function applies when downloading “all images”.
Where to find it:
Media Center posts or Page Builder image components → When a user selects “Download all images”

Smarter, faster search in Program Catalog
Program Catalog search has been simplified and optimized for admin workflows.
Instead of a broad, complex search across the full catalog, admins now search within the relevant Program Catalog section. The new search focuses on titles and IDs, making results faster and more relevant for users who know what they are looking for.
Search supports program, season and episode-level IDs, which is especially valuable for customers who work heavily with internal references.
Where to find it:
Program Catalog → Program Series / relevant catalog section → Search field
Smarter sharing with translations
Sharing posts within an organization is now smarter for multilingual teams.
When using draft key points, the system now translates them into the receiver’s language rather than defaulting to English. For organizations that only operate in one language, the translation option is hidden entirely to keep the interface cleaner.
Where to find it:
Media Center → Posts → Settings (three dots on right of post) → Share within organization

Shared Live & Premieres components with better filtering
Media Center Pages now support shared Live and Premieres components, allowing one site to display schedule and program data from another site within the same organization.
Admins can also apply flexible time-range filters, such as next 7 days, next 30 days, this month, or a custom range. This makes it easier to build focused pages such as “Premieres this month”, “Summer premieres”, or “Upcoming live broadcasts”.
For access-controlled content, shared previews now show safe basic information in a modal without leading users to unavailable “read more” pages or login dead ends.
Where to find it:
Media Center → Pages → Add component → Live events

Bugs, enhancements & fixes
Cookie compliance
We’ve fixed the Cookie settings link in the footer, allowing site visitors to reopen the consent dialog and update their cookie preferences at any time.
Standardised date & time pickers
Date and time pickers have been standardised across the admin interface. They now follow standard HTML formats and automatically adapt to the customer’s language, locale and timezone settings.
Secure previews
Previewing unpublished pages on public websites now requires proper authentication, improving security for draft content before publication.
And that's all folks! As always, if you have any questions you can always send us an email to support@clipsource.com
