Clipsource kickstarts 2020 with 2 recruits and 1 new office

23 January 2020 - Last updated 11 June 2024

2020 will be an eventful year. With Disney+ launching in the Nordics this summer, competition for subscribers and viewers will become even more fierce. At Clipsource we have noticed an increasing demand for all services supporting marketing, communications and metadata. This is also reflected in our sales numbers; preliminary reports indicate a 30% growth in 2019.

In order to manage an even higher growth rate in 2020, we made three important decisions last week:

1. HENRIK PATZER RECRUITED AS NEW CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Henrik Patzer has joined Clipsource as new CTO since our previous CTO and co-founder Johan Wiklund has decided to go deeper into our offering and become CPO. In this position, Johan will make sure our services get the strategic roadmap and focus they need to become successful at a global scale. Johan will also be responsible for major customer integrations. Henrik Patzer, on the other hand, will be ultimately responsible for all technical aspects of our strategy, to ensure that we achieve our business goals. Henrik has extensive experience as a leader in high-tech positions, such as CEO and CTO at Apohem, Head of Digital Store at Lenson and CTO at Musicbrigade.

2. BARBORA MIKLOSOVICOVA RECRUITED AS FINANCIAL ASSISTANT

This Monday Barbora Miklosovicova started a part-time position at Clipsource as a financial assistant. Barbora will be managing all the usual - yet so important - stuff such as invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, salaries etc etc. Barbora is 31 years old, comes from Slovakia, and has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Stockholm University. Before joining Clipsource she has worked at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm and UGG in London.

3. NEW DEVELOPMENT OFFICE IN LAHORE, PAKISTAN

Development capacity is a bottleneck for many fast-growing companies in high-tech Stockholm. Therefore we have decided to launch a development unit in Pakistan’s number one IT city, Lahore. As opposed to most companies outsourcing development to offshore consultancy firms, Clipsource will set up its own company and recruit its own developers, to work closely with the development team in Stockholm. This allows us to build stronger teams and increase productivity. The local office in Lahore will be headed by Hassan Chohan.

We are confident these three decisions will benefit both customers and users very soon and look forward to serving you all in 2020.
