NOT a Black Friday Email, rather a product update

Dear Customers, Over the past few months, we have been working intensively to develop a new search function to make your work more efficient. With the new search function, finding the right content is now easier and faster than before. The first place where this is being implemented is the Program Catalog for admins. When you log in to the Program Catalog, you will see that the homepage has been replaced with a new search-focused page. Where possible, we also provide search suggestions to help you find content even faster. So, how does the new search work? Unified search: You can now find all programme content in a single search, without needing to navigate through different categories. Everything is now in one place, making it more efficient and easy. Search suggestions: As you type, you will now receive suggestions that help you find what you are looking for faster. Sorted tabs: By default, all results are displayed, but you can also choose to view only, for example, series or movies in specific tabs, making it easier to quickly focus on the content you are interested in. Improved matching: Forgot the exact title? No problem. Our new search function helps you find a programme regardless of spelling or variations like 'The Program' or 'Program, The'. Comprehensive search: Our search covers titles, descriptions and cast information ensuring nothing is missed. ID search: Find content by searching for series, season, episode, or media IDs.   For now, you can still use the old search function available under each programme tab, but the new search function provides faster and more comprehensive results, potentially saving you valuable time and making your work smoother. We would greatly appreciate it if you could try the new feature and let us know what you think. If you have any feedback, don't hesitate to reach out! - The Clipsource Team

Product updates: Shared collections, UI updates and more...

Dear Customers, Lately, our attention has been on some significant system upgrades, which are still ongoing. However, we’ve got a few exciting updates that we'd like to share with you. Here’s some new stuff!Share Mediabank collections within your organisation We're excited to share an update for our Mediabank module, designed to make media management even more seamless and efficient—whether you're new to Mediabank or a long-time user. Mediabank is a powerful tool that allows you to upload, manage, and share your media files effectively, organised using two main structures: Workspaces: You can create both public and private workspaces to organise your media, giving you full control over how your files are shared. Collections: Within each workspace, you can create collections (folders) for uploading files. Collections can be unpublished, publicly available, or restricted to logged-in users. You can also create nested sub-collections, providing you with greater flexibility in structuring your content. With our latest update, users who are part of an organisation can now share collections with one or more other companies within the same organisation. When a collection is shared, it appears in a new area of the Mediabank called the Inbox. The Inbox lists shared collections, provides details about who shared them, and includes a feature to move the collection from the Inbox to a relevant workspace within the receiving customer’s Mediabank. This new feature helps streamline your workflow, avoiding duplicate efforts in uploading and managing media files. It's especially helpful for different companies within an organisation that need to publish or share the same or similar collections with their respective audiences. Whether you're already familiar with Mediabank or just getting started, this update is here to make your media sharing process smoother and more collaborative.     Schedule design update We've also refreshed the look of Schedules in Media Center, bringing a sleek new design to enhance your experience. The updates include: A more spacious layout, making it easier to get an overview of the content. Larger images from the programmes, providing a richer visual experience. Full-page width utilisation, ensuring the content doesn’t feel cramped. One notable change is that the previous area used for schedule changes has now been replaced with a button at the top of the page. This new design makes navigating and managing schedules more intuitive, allowing you to focus more on the content that matters most. Email verification improvements We have improved the way our system handles imported contact lists from CSV files or copy-paste operations. Previously, once you imported a contact list, you would receive an email notification if the import completed with errors, highlighting incorrect email addresses. With our latest update, we're taking this a step further. Now, when an import finishes, you will not only be notified of errors but will also receive more detailed information on what went wrong—whether it's an invalid format or the presence of unsupported characters in the email address. This enhancement makes it much easier to correct issues and update your contact lists accordingly, saving you time and reducing the hassle of manually tracking down the issues. These improvements are designed to help you maintain clean, accurate contact lists with less effort, ensuring that your communications reach their intended recipients smoothly and effectively.   Enhanced validation for schedules We've also made an improvement to the validation process for TV schedules imported to the Schedules module. Previously, our logic for detecting gaps or overlaps between events was not always sufficient, especially when it came to identifying events with identical start and end times. With this latest update, we've refined the validation logic to explicitly highlight events that share the same start and end times. Combined with our recent improvement that made these validations channel-specific rather than generic, this enhancement results in a more precise and reliable scheduling experience. These improvements will help you reduce errors, avoid scheduling conflicts, and ensure that your TV schedules are accurate and consistent, making management simpler and more effective.   Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes

We have adjusted the logos in Media Center so that Google and other search crawlers display the correct logos in their search results. We are continuing to gradually update our admin UI to make it more attractive and easier to use, including new icons and adjusted lists. We have fixed a bug that prevented the deletion of archived content in Mediabank.   - The Clipsource Team

Product updates: Extended media support in Mediabank

Dear Customers, Recently, we've been focusing on some major system upgrades, but we still have a few updates we'd like to share with you. Here’s what’s new!Introducing video and audio support in Mediabank You can now upload and manage videos and audio files in addition to images. This means all your media assets are now conveniently organized in one place, making your workflow smoother and more efficient. For those already using Mediabank, this upgrade offers even greater convenience: now you can upload, store, and manage all your media files in one centralized location. Sharing content internally with your colleagues is easier than ever, and you can also publish content—either access-restricted or publicly—through your Media Centers. Mediabank is also deeply integrated with our other products, such as Media Center, Program Catalog, and Screening Room. This means you can seamlessly add media files from Mediabank to other modules, or save media from these modules directly back to Mediabank, streamlining your workflows across the board. If you're not using Mediabank yet, now is the perfect time to start! With support for video, audio, and images, Mediabank provides a powerful, all-in-one solution for your media management needs.     General improvements to Mediabank As part of our ongoing efforts to improve media support in Mediabank, we've also made some general enhancements. For example, we've added a shortcut that allows you to open a collection in Media Center directly from the admin interface, and we've improved the numbering of multi-uploaded images. More improvements to Mediabank will be rolled out over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!   Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes

Resolved an issue where Geoblock filtering was not functioning correctly in the Media Center post list. Fixed a problem that prevented embedded videos from being opened and previewed in the Program Catalog, making it easier to review video content directly.   - The Clipsource Team

Product updates: Media Center + AI = TRUE!

Dear Customers,September has flown by, and we've been busy making even more improvements to our platform. We're thrilled to share the latest features and updates we've rolled out in the past month. Here's what we've been working on!Seamless post sharing in Media Center For clients with Media Centers across multiple countries, we’ve launched a new, optional feature to streamline content sharing within your organization. You can now create and share a post with colleagues across the entire organization or selected countries. Choose to share the post as an exact copy, an AI-translated draft in the recipient’s language, or as bullet points summarizing key insights with AI. This includes all basic settings and any related media. This feature is unavailable by default but can be added to your account. If you want to try it out, please get in touch with us for more details!   Self-manage program status in Schedules For our clients using the Schedules module, you previously needed our help to adjust which statuses—Premiere, Rerun, or Live—were displayed next to programs in your Media Center. Now, you have complete control! You can easily select and manage which statuses should be visible per channel directly from your channel settings page. Schedule changes as its own post type We’ve introduced another feature related to the Schedules module, which has been a much-requested improvement from several of our clients. Schedule Changes are now a standalone post type rather than just a category. While creating and managing Schedule Change posts work the same as before, separating them from other post types has made the admin interface more transparent and easier to navigate. New multi-select feature for images in Program Catalog Managing images in the Program Catalog just got easier! We’ve introduced a new “Select All” function, allowing you to select multiple images across all levels and take bulk actions. Now, you can update details like title, caption, description, photographer, copyright, and alt text for multiple images simultaneously. You can also toggle whether the images are published in the Media Center, sent via API, or marked as API posters. Additionally, you can bulk download or delete selected images with just a few clicks! Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes

In our last update, we introduced the ability to copy posts in the Media Center. We’ve now extended this functionality to include Pages in Websites as well. We’ve improved the loading speed for both contacts and groups in the recently updated contact management feature. Also, in contact management, we’ve added timestamps to groups, showing the date the group was created, last updated, and when a contact was last added. - The Clipsource Team

Product updates: Brand-based emails and more...

Dear Customers,We hope you had a wonderful summer! This is our first update since the holidays, and we're excited to be back in full force. We've been working hard to bring you some great new features and improvements, and we can't wait to share them with you. Here's what's new!Brand-based emails in Media Center Brands will allow you to send emails using different email banners, colour schemes and email display names. Brands can be used to improve your communication by using different branding for emails, such as:- Channel Brands- Content Brands (such as a particular series)- Thematic Brands (such as Xmas, Valentines, Sports etc)- Category Brands (Such as newsletters, weekly highlights, sales letters, and press releases)- A mix of all of the above In the first stage, Clipsource will configure the brand setup, but in the next step, subscribing customers will be able to create and edit the brands themselves in the Clipsource dashboard. Are Brands something for you? Contact your sales rep to see how it can be added to your plan.   Email trigger as menu item We've introduced a new feature that allows you to add an email trigger as a menu item in the Media Center. Just name your trigger, enter the email address, and choose the menus where it should appear. You'll find this new option on the menu settings page—it's that simple! Option to copy posts and pages We've added a handy new feature in the Media Center that lets you create a copy of a post or a page as a new version. To try it, choose "Copy post" from the drop-down menu. Manage your channel/platform logosWe've introduced a new feature in Schedules and VOD that lets you easily upload and replace logos for your linear channels and VOD platforms whenever needed. Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes

Fixed a bug that caused backup files for the Screening Room to not be listed correctly in the new contact management system. Product updates: Magic Links, Audit Logs and more...

Dear Customers,Announcing our latest product updates and improvements from our recent development sprint. Your insights are incredibly valuable to us, so don't hesitate to ask any questions or if you need assistance.

Magic Links We've added a long-awaited feature to simplify content sharing: Magic Links. With Magic Links, you can easily create a temporary link to a published post, an event, or a screener and email it to a selected recipient. You can also specify the duration for which the link remains valid.Created and still valid, links can be revoked prematurely if necessary.     Statistics for opened emails, viewed posts, etc., originating from Magic Links are presented anonymously yet clearly for you as admins.   Audit logs in admin Another feature from the wish list that has become a reality is access to Audit Logs in the admin interface. Audit logs record the occurrence of an event, its time, and the responsible user. This feature, made available for posts, events, and pages in the Media Center and Mediabank and assets in the Screening Room, can be accessed via the drop-down menu under "Record of actions". Video hero in WebsitesIn Websites, we have now enabled the addition of a video hero. The system has been adjusted to maintain the original video's aspect ratio, allowing for customization in line with your page design. Once published, the video will automatically start and loop each time its segment in the carousel is loaded. The video player lacks controls, as the concept of a video hero is more design-oriented.
Description fallback in Media CenterWe've introduced a fallback for local episode descriptions in the Media Center. If a local episode description is missing, we first check for a local season description, and as a last resort, a local series description is used. This approach helps fill information gaps, making the program pages in the Media Center more complete. We do not fall back from local to original descriptions to avoid mixing languages on a page. Image data Another adjustment in the Media Center is adding the option to automatically display the photographer and/or copyright information for post posters. We enable this feature, so if you're interested, please feel free to reach out, and we will be happy to assist you with it.
Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes

Fixed some issues with Clip Creator, including incorrect display of transcoding progress and failure to create thumbnails. Fixed a bug that caused dates to be displayed incorrectly in the statistics for the Screening Room.

Product updates: Broadcast days per channel, News widget optimization, UI updates and more...

Dear Customers,We're excited to share the newest updates and enhancements to our product from our latest development sprint. As always, your feedback is crucial to us, so please let us know if you have any questions or if there's anything we can help you with!

Broadcast days per channelWe have made an important update to our platform that enhances how you manage your broadcast days. Understanding the unique scheduling needs of each channel, we've evolved our system to offer more flexibility.

Previously, the setting for a broadcast day was uniform across all channels, typically from 06:00 to 06:00. We've now updated this feature to allow for channel-specific settings. This means you can tailor the start and end times of each channel's broadcast day to suit your programming schedule better.

Contact us to implement these custom settings for your channels; our team is ready to assist. Please note that changes to the broadcast day settings will only apply moving forward to maintain consistency in your scheduling data. For this reason, we recommend using this feature primarily for new channels or significant programming shifts.

News widget improvementsA recent update has been made to the platform to improve the performance of the news widget. The team has worked hard to address the speed and responsiveness issues, especially for those with many posts and intricate access rights. By optimizing how the widget handles content, the loading process and the way content is displayed, the platform now offers a smoother and more responsive experience. UI updates in adminWe've finally begun revamping the admin interface to make it more modern and visually appealing. This is a step-by-step process that we'll be working on over the coming weeks. If you haven't seen the changes, we invite you to log in to the admin dashboard and look.

You'll notice that images now feature rounded corners for a sleeker look, the left menu has been streamlined for easier navigation, and, perhaps most importantly, the tools section has been moved to the top of the Dashboard. This adjustment means less scrolling for many of you, making your admin experience more efficient.

We're eager to hear your thoughts on these updates and any suggestions you might have as we continue to improve the interface.

Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes

• Added support for folder structures in SFTP. Now, the system can retrieve files placed in folders, eliminating the need to upload files solely to the root directory.

• Resolved an issue where text added to the metadata description field in the SEO tab was getting cut off.

• Improved support for Chromecasting and AirPlaying videos, ensuring smooth playback across devices.

Product updates: Personal data downloads, cookie management and more...

Dear Customers,   As we step into a new year the code freeze period, which spanned from December 15th to January 15th, has officially concluded. This pause was an essential step in ensuring our system's stability during the holiday period, allowing us to deliver uninterrupted service to you. Now, we're back to our regular schedule of innovation and improvement. We're excited to dive back into enhancing our services and delivering new features designed to make your experience even better. In this update, we're eager to share with you the latest developments and upcoming additions that we've been working on. Enhancements to the personal data download feature We've enhanced the personal data download feature on Clipsource. When users request to download their data, they'll receive a comprehensive file. This file includes not only their basic information, such as name, company, and other data added when registering an account, but also their areas of interest, email groups they are added to, and, added statistics on downloads, site visits, and email interactions. The process is automated: once a user requests their data, our system compiles it and emails them with all the details. Function for customer-specific Terms and Conditions in Media Center We've introduced a feature that allows for the addition of custom text, links, and a checkbox for your Terms and Conditions, in addition to the standard Clipsource Terms and Conditions, which must also be included. This feature can be activated in the Media Center under 'Settings' in the left menu.   Statistics for one-time email recipients Following our recent update on the one-time recipient feature, we've now added statistics for these emails. When a post is sent to one or multiple one-time recipients, this will be reflected in the mailing's statistics overview. Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes  We have adjusted the sensitivity of our recently updated firewall as it was incorrectly blocking the upload of certain files. Resolved an issue preventing the change of poster images on screeners. We've modified the way programs are loaded in the Program Catalog admin to accelerate page loading. Further improvements in this area are planned for the future. - The Clipsource Team

Product updates: Auto publishing and UI upgrade to Websites, public Program Catalog updates and more...

Dear Customers,    As the festive season approaches, we would like to inform you that we will have a code freeze from December 15th to January 15th to ensure system stability during the holiday period. However, we're excited to share some of the latest features we've launched. As always, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Publishing of Media Center posts to Websites For those of you who use both Media Center and Websites, we have now made available a feature that allows you to publish news posts from Media Center to Websites. This feature is active for public posts. To publish a post, simply check the box for Websites at the bottom of the first information tab. We list the published posts in reverse chronological order at the top of Websites. If a user clicks on the post, it will open in Media Center. We have also taken the opportunity to update the design of Websites to make it more attractive and better structured. Public Program Catalog We have previously offered the option to publish a public version of the Program Catalog, but the setup has been complicated and unclear. We have now revamped this feature to make the experience much better and simpler, for both administrators and users. Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes  We have rebuilt the code behind the dashboard so that it loads much faster. We have fixed the clean formatting function so that it no longer removes paragraphs. - The Clipsource Team

Product updates: Program Catalog shortcuts, new audio functions and more...

Dear Customers,  Here are some of the latest product improvements and bug fixes from the last sprint. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! Reminder - Upcoming Change in Media Center Admin Just a friendly nudge about our upcoming enhancement to the Schedule Changes feature in your Media Center Admin. Remember, we're soon elevating Schedule Changes to its own post type! This means it'll stand alongside Posts and Events, making your admin experience clearer and more efficient. Don't worry, though – the functionality you're familiar with isn't changing. We're just making things more streamlined for you. Keep an eye out for more details on this rollout.  Program Catalog shortcuts We have been asked to add a shortcut in the Program Catalog to access programs published in the Media Center, and we listened. For any published standalone programs, series, seasons, and episodes, you can now directly open them in the Media Center right from the admin interface of the program catalog. Expanded support for audio files and embeds As you might know, we've previously supported the upload and publication of audio files in the Book Catalog and Screening Room. We're now extending this capability to the Program Catalog and Media Center as well. This means you can upload and publish audio files directly where you need them. Furthermore, we've enabled embedding audio streams from popular platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Apple Podcasts. And there's more good news: we're open to adding more sources, including any custom audio platforms you might be using. Just let us know your needs, and we'd be happy to accommodate them. If you have any questions or want to learn more about these new features, please don't hesitate to reach out. In line with our efforts to enhance audio support, we've also taken the opportunity to update our player. Previously, a video player was used for audio playback, which wasn't ideal. Recognizing this, we've now switched to a dedicated audio player, designed specifically for your audio content. This change ensures a more tailored and seamless listening experience for you and your users. New text editor for Websites, including the forms function We're also pleased to announce an update to Pages in Websites. To enhance your page building and formatting capabilities, we've upgraded to our new text editor. This modern editor not only improves the overall experience but also includes a new feature for form creation. This addition is part of our commitment to providing you with tools that make your digital content management both easier and more effective. Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes  We addressed a glitch in the Media Center involving sub-menus and text colors, which previously led to visibility challenges. An issue preventing the saving of phone numbers to contact backup files has been successfully solved. Following our update to the copy/paste functionality in the text editor, we encountered and have now resolved issues related to pasting text from applications like Notepad and Textedit. - The Clipsource Team
